GETTING TO PRIDE PARK
TICKETING INFORMATION
Tickets for Fulham’s Championship play-off semi-final first leg against Derby County are still on general sale, but they will need to be purchased prior to 1pm tomorrow (Friday). Fulham fans can call the Fulham ticket office on 0203 871 0810, visit the ticket office on Stevenage Road or book online via the club’s website. Supporters can collect their tickets from the away ticket office at Pride Park between 6.30pm and 7.30pm.
There will be no tickets on sale at the ground prior to the game.
BY CAR
Exit at Junction 25 of the M1 and head towards Derby on the A52. Pride Park Stadium is signposted off the A52 after about seven miles. There at least two sizeable car parks at the Velodrome situated next to Pride Park, close to the away end and parking here will cost you £8 per car, or £6 if the car has four or more people in it.
Fulham fans are advised that the M1 is due to be closed after the game and there are planned roadworks between Derby and the M1 on the A50. Our friends at the Rams Trust advise visiting supporters to make their way home towards west London via the A38, which means leaving Pride Park from the away fans’ car park and taking the A52 into Derby City Centre and following signs for the A38 marked south/Birmingham.
The afore-mentioned away fans car park is at the nearby Derby Conference Centre on the A6 London Road (DE24 8UX), which costs £5 per car. There may be attendants on hand to take your money, but supporters might have to go into the Conference Centre reception to get the ticket which you will need to display on your dashboard. The Centre is close to the Navigation Inn, a popular pub for away fans, and about 15 minutes walk to the away entrance.
Alternatively, several businesses located off the A52 offer parking. Matchday parking is usually available at the KFC and Burger King restaurants near the A52 roundabout for £6. The nearby Meadows Industrial Estate also provides parking for £5. There is some free parking at the West Meadow Industrial Estate (DE21 6HA) off the A52, which is about a 10-15 minute walk from Pride Park. Anyone seeking to use this parking should arrive early as the streets fill up very quickly.
BY TRAIN
Pride Park is around a 10 minute walk away from Derby Railway Station and is clearly signposted. Whilst travelling directly to Derby is the easiest route, some cheaper tickets are available if you return via Birmingham New Street.
BY COACH
The official club coaches will leave from Craven Cottage and Motspur Park at 2pm.
AWAY PUBS
There are very few away pubs located close to the stadium, with it being situated in the middle of a retail park and industrial estate. Visiting supporters have previously been made welcome at a nearby Harvester, but it is unclear if they will be admitting Fulham fans for this fixture.
The Navigation Inn (805 London Road, Derby, Derbyshire, DE24 8UU) is probably the best bet for Fulham fans prior to the game. It offers free street parking outside has a history of welcoming visiting fans and is located around a ten minute walk away from the ground. The pub serves a selection of good beers, with a basic burger and chips style food menu, and shows live sport on their televisions.
Closer to the station, several pubs will only admit home fans on matchdays. Away fans have previously been made welcome at the Mansion Bar (6-7 Midland Road, Derby DE1 2SN) and the Tiffany Lounge (1 Midland Road, Derby, DE1 2SN), which are both within short walking distance of Derby train station. The Exeter Arms (Exeter Place, Meadow Road, Derby DE1 2EU) has also previously welcomed Fulham fans – and it is between 15 and 20 minutes walk from Pride Park.
If supporters arrive well ahead of kick off, there are sixteen pubs named in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide in the city centre, where visiting fans are not likely to face any problems with admittance. Inside Pride Park itself, there are bars at the back of the stands housing the away supporters, but they will get quite crowded
