Away Day Guide – Nottingham Forest
This Sunday 24th October, Fulham aim to make it three straight wins with a trip to the City Ground against mid-table Nottingham Forest.
TICKETING INFORMATION
Fulham have been allocated 2,010 tickets for the trip to the City Ground priced at £25 or £27 for adults, £18 or £19 for senior citizens, £12 or £13 for 18 to 23 year olds, £10 or £11 for 12 to 17 year olds and £5 for children aged between 4 and 11 years old. Three loyalty points are on offer for this fixture.
GETTING TO THE CITY GROUND
BY CAR
Exit the M1 at Junction 24 and head towards Nottingham on the A453. Join the A52 East towards Grantham and continue onto the A6011 into Nottingham. The stadium is well signposted and will soon come into view. Street parking near to the City Ground is very limited, so Fulham supporters are advised to either try the park and ride at Clifton South (£2 with a match ticket) or the Nottingham City Council car parks. There is a matchday car park on the Victoria Embankment close to Trent Bridge cricket ground, for £5 an hour. This car park is situated around 2-3 minutes’ walk from the City Ground. There is also a council facility at the Eastcroft depot, priced at £4 per car. The depot is about 10 minutes’ walk from the City Ground, just off London Road.
BY TRAIN
Nottingham station, served by London St. Pancras, is located around half a mile from the City Ground. It is around a twenty minute walk from the station to the City Ground, which includes a walk over the River Trent bridge. Go left out of the station entrance, turn left again head down to the dual carriageway and turn right. The City Ground is about three quarters of a mile along the dual carriageway on the left, across the River Trent. Alternatively, a taxi from the station will cost around £6.
BY COACH
Coaches will leave Motspur Park and Craven Cottage at 9.30am and are priced at £17 for adult season ticket holders and £10 for junior season ticket holders. They will cost £22 for adults and £15 for juniors who do not hold a season ticket.
AWAY PUBS
The majority of the pubs in close proximity to the City Ground are designated as home supporters only. The only local exceptions are The Nottingham Rowing Club (Trentside, Trent Bridge, Nottingham, NG2 5FA) which usually charges £1 entry and The Stratford Haven (2 Stratford Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 6BA), which has enthusiastically Fulham fans in the past and serves beers from the Castle Rock brewery as well as a wide array of other drinks and food.
Away from the ground, Nottingham offers a vast range of brilliant pubs and bars. Our best recommendations that should welcome Fulham fans include The Olde Trip To Jerusalem (1 Brewhouse Yard, Nottingham, NG1 6AD), The Castle (1 Castle Road, Nottingham, NG1 6AA), The Old Salutation Inn (Hounds Gate, Nottingham NG1 7AA), The Roundhouse (Royal Standard Place, Nottingham, NG1 6FS), Canalhouse (48-52 Canal Street, Nottingham, NG1 7EH) and The Vat and Fiddle (12 Queensbridge Road, Nottingham, NG2 1NB).
Alcohol is available inside the City Ground including Amstel (£4.50), John Smith’s (£4.20), Strongbow (£4), Heineken (£4) and Bulmers (£4.20).
