New away day guides – following the Whites away for season 2024/25

We’ve been working with the Football Supporters’ Association over the close season to improve our away day guides for the 2024/25 season.

We noticed they are an often-used resource on our website and wanted to ensure they offer the most relevant and valuable information for fans wishing to follow the Whites away from the Cottage. We’re also aware that for some people, it is just another away day, whereas, for others, it will be a significant change from a regular home match routine, so we want to make Fulham away day experiences as easy to do as possible.

We’ve summarised some of the changes below and given insight into why this information should be valuable. It’s an evolving piece of work, though, so if you do an away day and find a nugget of information that you think will be worthy of a guide, please contact the Trust.

Collaboration with other Premier League clubs

We’ve worked on this project with the Football Supporters Association (FSA), using the Premier League Network that the Trust are a member of to gather more comprehensive information from Trusts and Supporter Groups. This means that the information is from real supporters who are genuinely interested in ensuring that people have a great away day at their stadium (other than the final result, of course).

Understanding accessibility better

We’ve spoken to Mark Davies, Fulham Disabled Supporters Association (DSA) Chair and Fulham Advisory Board (FAB) representative, on the most important information required to understand accessibility on away days. We’ve been recommended to use the Level Playing Field (LPF) guides as the most up-to-date source of information, and will ensure to link to these, and encourage fans that see any gaps in these pages to let us know so that we can see if this can be improved.

Going Green

Sustainability is a growing priority for many fans, and we’re keen to support that. In addition to bike parking availability at stadiums, we’ll always try to explain the ease of use of all forms of public transport.

Outside of the pub

Fear not. We’re still offering the best away fan watering holes and are always keen to hear more recommendations on this front. But we know not everyone is desperate to see where the top-rated CAMRA pub is in the area. We’re also looking to add places to eat and non-alcohol-serving venues.

The little things

Understanding bag policies and whether cash is accepted from ground to ground can be a source of frustration to fans if this isn’t clearly communicated. Our guides will have all of this information at your fingertips.

Work in progress

It will take a little bit of time to finish all twenty Premier League club guides to the best quality they can be, so if you see any gaps in information throughout this season and have visited somewhere and can tell us more, please do get in touch. We’ll ensure this information is available to the entire supporter network. We appreciate the support that we’ve received from our Premier League reps at the FSA, Thomas Concannon and Harpreet Robinson.

More than anything, though, we hope more information will encourage more people to follow the Whites on the road this season!
