Everything you need to know ahead of our final visit to Goodison Park, home of Everton FC. Next visit: October 26th, 2024. Kick-off 5.30PM UK time.

OCTOBER 2024 FIXTURE – STOP EXPLOITING LOYALTY

Fulham fans visiting Goodison Park on Saturday are encouraged to support the FSA’s recently launched ‘Stop Exploiting Loyalty’ campaign, against the Premier League-wide rise in ticket prices. In a show of solidarity, Everton & Fulham fans will be meeting pre-match at 4.00PM at the Dixie Dean statue. The statue is situated at the top of Goodison Road, at the junction of Spellow Lane, L4 4DA.

GETTING TO GOODISON PARK

BY CAR

Follow the M62 until you reach the end of the motorway (beware of a 50mph speed camera about a 1/4 of a mile from the end of the motorway). Then keep right and take the A5058 Ring Road North, signposted Football Stadia. After three miles turn left at the traffic lights into Utting Avenue (there is a McDonalds on the corner of this junction). Proceed for one mile and then turn right at the corner of Stanley Park into Priory Road. Goodison is at the end of this road.

BY TRAIN

Kirkdale station is closest to Goodison Park. From the station, turn right and cross over the railway bridge. From the traffic lights, head up Westminster Road until you reach the Elm Tree pub, when you should turn left into Barlow Lane. You will soon be on County Road (A59). Cross over the road at the traffic lights and head down Spellow Lane and Goodison Park will be on the left.

Fulham fans may find it easier to head to Sandhills Railway Station, from where special Soccerbus shuttles run for two hours before the game and 50 minutes after the final whistle. You can take a train to Sandhills from Liverpool Central (which you can reach from Liverpool Lime Street) and if you ask for a ticket to Goodison Park – the price of Soccerbus is reduced to £3. Supporters are advised to have a back-up, like a taxi or walking to Kirkdale station, for after the game as the shuttle buses become very cramped after the final whistle.

Most Fulham fans will be arriving via Liverpool Lime Street, which is three miles from the ground. A taxi will cost around (£8) or the 919 Special Bus, which takes you directly to Goodison Park in around ten minutes, from Stand 10 in St. John’s Lane for a single fare of £2.20.

PARKING

Car parking is available at Stanley Park car park, approximately 1/2 mile from Goodison Park at the junction of Priory Road and Utting Avenue. Car parking prices are displayed upon entry.

ENJOYING THE AREA

AWAY-FRIENDLY PUBS

There are a few options within the vicinity of Goodison Park for Fulham fans. The Thomas Frost (177-187 Walton Road, Liverpool, L4 4AJ) is the nearest Wetherspoons pub, which welcomes home and away fans. The Spellow (79 Goodison Road, Liverpool, L4 4EN) just outside the ground has previously extended a warm welcome to Fulham fans, but it will get very busy on a matchday. The Liverpool Taxi Cab Drivers, Sports and Social Club (2 Walton Hall Avenue, Anfield, Liverpool L4 6UF) has also admitted Fulham fans in the past for a small fee. Otherwise, The Arkles (77 Anfield Road, Anfield, Liverpool, L4 0TJ) – across Stanley Park and the designated away pub for Anfield – has been popular with Fulham fans.

The city centre offers plenty of excellent alternatives, including The Head of Steam (85 Hanover Street, Liverpool, L1 3DY), which features in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide.

FOOD RECOMMENDATIONS

Liverpool city centre has a wide range of cafes and restaurants to enjoy pre-match, with places such as Bold St and Seal St good locations to head towards. Closer to the stadium, County Road has a selection of places for quick-bites pre-match.

The Lion, County Road – Sri-Lankan/Japanese fare.

Fat Hippo, Bold Street – burgers and hearty meals in the city centre
