Spotlight on safety of women and girls at football

The Met Police have made the safety of women and girls a top priority, including during attendance at football matches. They have created a survey to help identify areas where the police can work more effectively to ensure the wellbeing and safety of female fans.

We encourage our members to complete this survey which was sent to us by Fulham’s Dedicated Football Officer (DFO), Tony Delamo.

The survey’s purpose is to gather the views of female supporters and although the police are also keen to hear from family members who travel with women and girls – fathers/brothers etc – please remember that the answers must represent the females with whom they are in direct contact.

Please take a few minutes to take part – this is a great opportunity for us to be heard.

More information about the VAWG Action Plan can be found on the Met Police web site here.

The  VAWG initiative as it pertains to football is described in our notes from a recent IAG.
