Everything you need to know ahead of our next trip to The King Power stadium, home of Leicester City FC.

GETTING TO THE KING POWER STADIUM

BY CAR

The M1 and M69 Motorways interchange at Junction 21 (M1), where you should exit and follow the signs for the City Centre via the A5460. After three miles, turn right onto Upperton Road, follow the road down until you get to the Liberty Statue Island and take the fifth exit down Western Boulevard. You will then see King Power Stadium on your right-hand side.

BY TRAIN

Leicester Station which is around a 15 minute walk – the quickest route is out of the station, straight across the road onto Waterloo way, which leads onto Tigers way, you will see the Rugby stadium, take a left along Welford Road. You can then walk along Almond road or through Freeman’s common, this will lead to Aylestone Road where you should be able to see the stadium and follow along Raw Dykes Road.

OTHER FORMS OF TRAVEL

Buses run along Aylestone Road regularly and these go straight to the City Centre. Several bus services run from Leicester city centre to King Power Stadium, stopping on Aylestone Road, which is a five-minute walk from King Power Stadium. Most buses in Leicester are low floor vehicles, meaning they can be lowered to pavement level once the bus has stopped. Buses all include wheelchair spaces. Birmingham and East Midlands airport are the closest airports to the stadium both are around a 45 minute drive.

TAXI’S

Uber and Bolt are the quickest way of getting a taxi from the stadium. Leicester station is around a 15 minute walk and black cabs are normally waiting just to the side of the station.

PARKING

CAR PARKING

The ground has multiple official car parks, all need to be booked in advance. There is parking available at Freeman’s Common, procing varies on the length of time you are there and is limited. There is some street parking availbe on Aylestone Road and Saffron Lane but is probably around a 15/20 minute walk.

BIKE PARKING

Supporters travelling to King Power Stadium on bike can use the cycle park, free of charge.
The facility offers 20 spaces on a first come, first served basis. Cyclists should enter via Car Park B and show their match ticket on arrival.

ENJOYING THE AREA

AWAY PUBS

The Counting house is a designated away pub and is about a 6 minute walk from the ground at the far side of Freeman’s Common. The Holiday Inn and the Fox & Soar are located right next to the ground also allow away supporters in. Bars and restaurants in the city centre do allow away supporters this is around a 15-20 minute walk.

PLACES TO EAT

There is a Nando’s and McDonald’s situated about a 5 minute walk from the ground on Freeman’s common. There are cafe’s located on Aylestone Road, Narborough Road and Braunstone Gate, all of which are a 10-15 minute walk.

OTHER RECOMMENDED STOPS

The ground is situated 15-20 minutes from the City Centre which has a good range of bars and restaurants. For those driving, Fosse Park is situated just off Junction 21 and has shops as well as a limited amount of restaurants available (this includes parking).

USEFUL TO KNOW

Cashless – please bring a credit or debit card to make payments within the stadium.

WiFi – wifi is not available throughout the stadium.

Children policy – Under 2s are not allowed into the stadium on matchdays. Under 16s are not allowed in the stadium unless accompanied by an adult.

Drop-off point – Away coaches drop off and pick up right outside the away end so works well for accessibility.
